With a comprehensive dashboard, LuxRdr offers an easy-to-use interface for managing listings, bookings, and payments, ensuring a smooth user experience for both car owners and renters. The platform prioritizes security, transparency, and convenience, allowing users to manage every aspect of their car rental experience with confidence and ease. In the rapidly expanding peer-to-peer car-sharing market, users often encounter challenges such as concerns over trust and vehicle safety, complex rental processes, and inefficient tracking of rental activities. The absence of a centralized platform that addresses the needs of both car owners and renters results in a fragmented and frustrating experience. LuxRdr aims to solve these problems by offering a secure, user-friendly platform that simplifies car rentals, enhances trust through transparency, and provides comprehensive management tools for both owners and renters.

As the Lead Designer for LuxRdr, I led the process from ideation to design handoff, conducting research, creating wireframes, and designing the UI/UX, collaborating with stakeholders, refining designs through testing, and ensuring a smooth handoff to the development team, preparing all design assets for future implementation and launch.

The design process for LuxRdr involved several steps to ensure a smooth and user-friendly experience for customers which consists of research, personas, information architecture, visual designs etc.
User Research
The user research helped me to understand the needs, behaviors, attitudes, and experiences of individuals interested in using a web application for renting out their cars and renting cars for personal use. The research guided the design and development of a user-centric car rental platform with an efficient dashboard for managing operations. I implemented the user interview, and online survey.

These questions were asked to gain valuable insights, from personal experiences and preferences to specific features and usability concerns. The questions are as follows:

These personas reflect the diverse needs and challenges faced by users in Lagos, Nigeria, when it comes to car rentals. The web application should address these varied requirements and pain points, offering solutions that are tailored to busy professionals, frequent travelers etc.

Design: High Fidelity Designs
The UI Designs for LuxRdr stands out as it is very simple and able to accommodate both lenders and borrowers of vehicles. It also keeps track of finances and has the in-app messaging features where both parties are able to reach out to each other with regards to the delivery and pick-ups of the vehicles. The design also highlights good rental deals and a FAQs section to answer relevant questions regarding the services provided by LuxRdr. The web design allows you to also schedule vehicles that are not currently available but users want to borrow.

To measure our success, we tracked key performance indicators (KPIs) that reflected user adoption, satisfaction, and transaction efficiency.

- Expanding to New Cities: Gradually expanding LuxRdr's coverage to new cities other than Lagos, allowing more users to access the platform and rent cars.
